The San Sano Hotel represents what it remains and, partly what it has been restored, of the medieval Suburb of the 1.100. Its history is tied up to that of the territory, particularly to Gaiole in Chianti, that during the centuries, has defined the peculiarities of it historical-insediative. From origin etrusco-Romans, the most florid period has been that medieval, of which preserve still today the order and some visible structures still on the spot.
As the rests of a stall of the 1.300, of the boundaries of the ancient block, part of a tower, of a wall, of a practicable piazzetta still, of a sink dated to the 1.260, still intact that belongs to the room n. 8, denominated for the note "The sink."
